Description: Normal 0 Circa 1880 French faience porcelain bud vase, - “GIEN” entwined letter mark, - faience majolica Longwy style decoration and glaze, - overall “inlaid” style emaux cloisonné brilliant glazed enamels, - yellow rose chrysanthemums / buds and brilliant green and blue foliage on dark cobalt blue ground, - in a manner of and inspired by Saxon porcelain with the distinguished finely painted florals. 3.75” tall, 3” dia. Condition – excellent, no chips, cracks or repairs. 1710 - Porcelain Factory, Gien, France (1821-). The pinnacle of faience production at GIEN was 1855-1900 with many prizes awarded at International Exhibitions 1855, 1867, 1878, 1889, 1900.
