Description: Bujinkan Dojo Membership Card - 2008 Hombu, Noda (Japan) Masaaki Hatsumi This is an official Bujinkan Dojo membership card issued from Hombu Dojo in Noda, Japan. Each year our dojo would order a few extra for new joining members to receive after their first month of classes. These are a few remaining from that selection. All kyu (lower belt) and dan (black belts) students were expected to have one of these annual membership cards and obtain them every year. About the membership card, Soke said: 'This card preserves the honor of the Bujinkan members and shows you are part of our dojo -- our members practice with warrior hearts to better themselves through training and friendship.' Many people feel these cards acted like (おまもり) omamori (a Japanese amulet) that shares good budo training. People who have Bujinkan membership cards are respectful members of the Bujinkan honoring the tradition of the Bujinkan.
