Description: It is an authentic engraved antique map approximately 156 years old, blank on reverse, with original handcoloring and a centerfold as issued. It is by Felix Ansart, from his Atlas Historique et Geographique Ancien Et Moderne (Paris, circa 1860), a copy of the title page is included. The title of the atlas and F. Ansart appear in the upper margin. Overall a very well preserved rare map with nice strong color and an antique appearance that would frame up very well. Beautiful Color! Size: The image/text area measures approximately 9 x 12 inches (23x30cm) on an 11 1/2 by 17 inch page (29x43cm) with a margin all around, as seen in the main pic. Condition: It is in Very Good condition for its age with overall light tonal ageing on a buff color paper with original handcoloring and a centerfold as issued. Other than some minor browning around the edges and a couple of minor bends on the corners, its very clean with strong color and an antique appearance that many desire, see the pics for more on condition.
