Description: Travel back in time with this C-melody saxophone. It was made by Martin. The serial number stamped on the front of the neck and the back of the bow is 127,352, indicating Martin made it in about 1921. Wurlitzer American is engraved on the front of the bell. Cosmetically, it looks quite good. There is some ordinary age and play wear, but the finish does look nice along with the finger pearls. Gold washed inner bell. There is Teflon tape to reinforce the neck cork. Functionally, the key mechanisms and pads work. It comes with a metal Runyon 5 mouthpiece, music lyre, a plastic Berg Larsen mouthpiece cap, cork grease, strap, reed, and a matching cap. It comes in a Wurlitzer hard case. The handle, latches, and hinges all work. Questions? It will be well packed with plenty of new 1/2" bubble wrap and shipped in a stout cardboard instrument box. Please check out our eBay store, Time Travel Music, for more cool vintage stuff, including a bunch of vintage guitars (and a few ukuleles, banjos, fiddles, mandolins and amps, as well as fiddles, brass, woodwind, and various oddball musical instruments and old instrument brochures & catalogs).
