Description: FEATURED IS A RARE VINTAGE 1920s POSTCARD DEPICTING GOLFERS AND CADDIES ON THE GREEN AT THE OTZINACHSON COUNTRY CLUB, MILTON, PENNSYLVANIA ... THE CLUBHOUSE IN THE BACKGROUND. The Clubhouse was built and the course opened in the early 1920s. The unusual name "Otzinachson" derived from the Indian name given to the Susquehanna River which meant "The River of Caves". In 1948, shortly after a full renovation, the clubhouse was destroyed by fire and had to be rebuilt. In 1962, the name of the club was changed to the Wynding Brook Country Club. PC "new" to extent it is New Old Stock, has not been used in any manner, and remains in MINT condition. Just a beautiful card. This pristine postcard comes from the Curt Teich Archives. The card has been in our possession for approximately 15+ years ... long before the Curteich digitally archived images found their permanent home with The Newberry Institute. At the time of our acquisition, the Lake County Discovery Museum in IL was the custodian of the company's records, having served in that capacity since 1982.
