Blown Acid Etched Glass. Features 1 Large Lily Center of Dish. The glass factories founded by Alsatian émigré Christian Dorflinger were arguably among the most significant glass factories in operation from the mid to late nineteenth century. His first factory was in Brooklyn, New York, from which he relocated his operations to White Mills, Pennsylvania. His products were renowned both for the fine quality of the glass and for their accomplished cutting and acid etching. Would have been part of a set with a larger dish called a master almond, where you would spoon a few almonds from the larger dish into this individual dish. Excellent used antique condition.
