Rubbing to the head and tail of both spines. Small amount of loss to the head and tail of the spine of volume I. The loss to the head and tail of volume II is heavier. Rubbing to the front and rear boards of each volume. Heavy rubbing to the joints and extremities of both volumes. Front board of volume II is detached. Crack to the joint of volume I, with front board at risk of becoming detached. Spotting to the top bottom and forgedges of both volumes. Offsetting to the front and rear endpapers and paste downs of each volume. Ink inscription to the front pastedown of volume I, dated 1801. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are agetoning throughout, with some spotting throughout.
