The dish is made in a handsome classical form, with bold foliate decoration on the handles and corners and a fluted design to the rim. The center of the dish has a round foliate boss design which is quite striking. This piece is in great condition. There are no splits, no dents, no breaks, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs. This piece is stamped on the side of the base with the mark for the city of Berlin, as well as other marks and a zigzag shaped mark where the silver was assayed. The silver is tested and guaranteed at least 800 purity silver. The dish measures about 14 by 7 by 3 7/8 inches, LxWxH.
