Description: About this listing - This listing is for the Anne Pratt print(s) pictured. The images of the prints posted on this listing are as representative of the actual print as I could make them. These prints are in good condition over all. Some foxing, toning, and offset may visible. All prints in this listing are authentic antique prints, and are around 160 years old. Print is in good condition on lightly toned to toned paper. Because the print is an antique you can expect some imperfections due to age and handling. Please review the image carefully to assess condition. About the Author & Work - Anne Pratt was one of the best known English botanical illustrators of the Victorian age. Due to an impaired knee and poor health, Pratt was encouraged to occupy herself with drawing. Botany was considered an appropriate interest for a young lady, so Pratt was educated in botany at Eastgate House, Rochester. In 1826 she moved to Brixton and began her career as a botanical illustrator. Pratt wrote & illustrated 20 works. It is from her work "The Flowering Plants, Grasses, Sedges, and Ferns of Great Britain and Their Allies the Club Mosses, Pepperworts, and Horsetails" that the print(s) come. Each print measures approximately 9 x 5 1/2 x 8 3/4 inches. Condition notes for this listing - Prints are in good condition on toned paper. No descriptive text or title page will be included.
