Oak construction with original hardware. Desk is size 3 of four original models as stamped in back edge of seat. Desk adjusts on a slide front to back from the seat back from 10" to 13 1/4" Top adjusts vertically with a bolt from a height of ~24" to 28" with a pen holder. Drawer guide has been repaired and the bottom of the drawer is wavy from an oil stain but is sturdy. Two mending plates were added under the seat joint to prevent pinching. Some metal fragments are present in the desk top. Includes a Bakelite #60 Inkwell with operating swivel cover will thread on to the clear glass reservoir. Includes a two museum articles about these historical desks. Desk weighs about 35 pounds. Seat back is 15"W x 27"H from floor. Seat is 16"W x 14"D x 14"H from floor. Drawer is 11 1/2" W x 7"H x 14"D outside dimensions. Desktop is 14"D x 21"W and adjusts vertically from ~24" to 28"H from floor. Inkwell is ~2" x 2"Freight option: desk is partially disassembled for shipping. No tools required for reassembly. The height adjustment bolt was removed and the top slides up and off the support arm of the desk. Simply remove the bolt, slide the top support back on to the base, reinsert the bolt and tighten at the desired height. The museum articles and inkwell are packed in a box inside the drawer for shipping.
