Description: For sale, a TOUGH HISTORIC TOWN TO FIND GENUINE ANTIQUE TOKENS FROM...."good for" style trade token once used as "GOOD FOR 5C IN TRADE" in trade at a business called "THE COCHISE CLUB (SALOON)", which was located in old historic....iconic old downtown TOMBSTONE, ARIZONAIf you do a search on ebay for "Tombstone tokens"....about 99% of what you see is offered as "Tombstone tokens" online and even in the town are pure garbage.....every day people buy phony modern fantasy tokens like "Sexy Sadies Saloon" or "Stellas Pleasure Palace" which are bought by the pound and sold in souvenir shops, or those hoard helldorado medals....IT IS RARE TO FIND GENUINE ANTIQUE TOMBSTONE TRADE TOKENS.....AND SINCE THEY BUILT THE NEW HIGH SCHOOL OVER THE TOWN DUMP.....THEY ARE NOT COMING OUT OF THE GROUND LIKE THEY DID IN THE GOOD OL DAYS.....JUST SAYIN'I HAD A BUSINESS IN DOWNTOWN TOMBSTONE FOR ALMOST 20 YEARS.....AND TYPICALLY THE TOKENS WHICH WALKED INTO THE SHOP WERE DUG....AND UGGGG-LEEEE TOKENS, AS THE SOIL AROUND TOMBSTONE IS NOT REALLY GREAT ON OLD TOKENS, NICE SPECIMENS I WOULD OFTEN OFFER 2X BOOK PRICES AS THEY ARE JUST HARD TO FIND,...............THIS IS A VERY DECENT READABLE TOKEN WHICH WAS FOUND IN TOMBSTONE YEARS AGOWITH THE COLORFUL HISTORY OF TOMBSTONE (OK CORRAL, DOC HOLLIDAY, WYATT EARP, ETC).....IT IS JUST TOUGH TO FIND GENUINE ANTIQUE TOMBSTONE TOKENS....AND IF I EVER HAD THEM AND PUT THEM OUT IN THE SHOP, THEY USUALLY SOLD WITHIN A WEEK.....BECAUSE THERE ARE NONE AVAILABLE IN THE TOWN TO BUY....AND EVERYBODY...TOURISTS FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD WANT A LITTLE GENUINE PC OF TOMBSTONE HISTORYThe historic mining camp of Tombstone is located in beautiful Cochise County, not far from Bisbee, Fairbank, Courtland Arizona Trade token is brass, round, about 21mm in diameter, and it has a little coppery coloring, but overall displays well (please see pictures in gallery) Both sides are the same Gallery pictures should give you all the information you need.
