PLEASE SEE THE SHIPPING TAB FOR MORE INFORMATION. Condition: This lovely Cambridge Amethyst Caprice Vase is in Undamaged Condition without chips, cracks, or mold damage. The color is beautiful. The metal Farber Brothers holder is in great condition with only some very minimal light scratching from use. It is not visible unless held up to light and examined closely. Mark: Mark: The metal is signed with the Farber Bros. backstamp (please see the photos provided) Description / About: Amethyst Caprice Vase in Farber Bros. Metal Holdler -6 3/4" H. - 5 1/4" W. Caprice (1940s -1957) Crystal, Moonlight Blue (light blue),Amber, Amethyst, La Rosa (pink), Dark Emerald Green, Pistachio, Ritz Blue(cobalt), White Milk Glass- Caprice is the most collected pressed pattern that Cambridge ever produced. The Moonlight blue pieces (made until 1952) are the most popular followed by crystal, and then other colors. The Cambridge Glass Company produced some the finest and most sought after hand made Elegant Glassware from 1901 until 1958. They made many of the etched patterns that are still popular today. They were renowned for their colors, as well as their beautiful popular etchings which included Rosepoint, Chantilly, Wildflower, Cleo, Apple Blossom, and dozens more not listed. Cambridge produced many beautiful shapes in array of colors and styles. Some of the colors in the Cambridge listings included Ebony, Azurite, Helio, Primrose, Amber , Ivory, Jade, Peach Blo, Rubina, Cobalt, Emerald, Gold Krystol, Carmen and dozens more. One of Cambridge's most popular colored patterns was Caprice. This pattern was produced in many of the transparent colors including LaRosa (pink), and Moonlight Blue. There were over 200 different pieces of Caprice available. The pattern was featured in Ladies Home Journal, House and Garden and many other publications. It is no wonder it was one of the top selling Depression Era patterns. This Ohio factory was located in Cambridge, Ohio and was one of the largest producers of hand made glassware from the Depression Era into the early 50s.
