Description: Put on your memory caps, fellow alumni. If you're old enough to remember going to band exhibitions at Convention Hall that were sponsored by our school (and spotlighted other popular high school bands as well), you may remember there were prizes given out at the events to attendees in the crowd. Back in the 70s when I went to Dougherty (Holy smokes, we're getting older for sure!), two custom made dolls were given out at Convention Hall if you had the lucky number in your program. What fun! My program one year had the lucky number and I had a choice of the female drill team doll or the drum major male doll. I took the girl. The doll is in a plastic display case now, but I thought it would be fun to make some key chains with the image for fellow alumni. The outfit on the doll is the actual same material as the drill team uniforms, so, I suspect the company that produced the adult uniforms somehow made this doll's outfit to scale. A little something to put by your computer and maybe smile at the memories or a fun stocking stuffer as Christmas approaches. I thought they'd also be nice at reunions at the women's dinner places, so, if you're planning an event, hope you'll buy a few. Planning another run of supply if the first batch moves. Including in the listing an image of the key chain, which measures 1.5" across X 2" long and a larger picture of the actual doll. Hopefully, my little creation will make alumni smile at the days in that building where 4,000+ of us back in the 70s packed dances, went to basketball games and screamed that cheer that STILL sticks in my head…..Stand up give a cheer! Stand up give a cheer, let ‘em know we’re here! (All the while stomping feet on those bleachers), met in the middle of the cafeteria during lunch (and actually talked to boys during the school day!) before the two sides merged and was a formidable force among Catholic High Schools.
