Description: Carole Lombard, Chester Morris in "The Gay Bride" (MGM, 1934). Deluxe (Double Weight) Publicity Photo by Clarence Bull (7.75" X 9.5"). Vintage gelatin silver, black and white, double weight, satin finish photo. This radiant image of Carole Lombard was taken by the one and only Clarence Sinclair Bull as part of the publicity campaign for The Gay Bride. A stamp crediting Bull on the reverse. There is a smudge or flaw in the emulsion in the top of the photo (in the black background) that shows more prominently if being held at an angle to the light. The little white flecks you see in the bottom part of Lombard's dress are sparkles on her dress, and not flaws in the photo. The borders have likely been trimmed, hence it not being 8" X 10".Please see full-color, enlargeable images above for more details.
