Description: This carved stone dragon has his RF foot on a pearl - both symbols frequently used in Chinese mythology.He stands just about 4.5" tall to the top of his head and sits on a marble (or quartz?) base that is 5 1/2" x 1 5/8". We do not know what type of stone he is made of - at least one other ebayer suggested soapstone, other inquiries online suggest jadeite. He is heavy for his size (1#, 5oz) whatever he is made of. He does not glow under blacklight.The piece was on display in a home that leads us to believe he may have been brought to the US as a souvenir from WWII or the Korean War based on other items in the home, but we don't know his exact age or origin.He has some mild surface bumps here and there that we mention to be complete, but no chips or cracks that we can find and/or of much significance.
