Description: Vintage Casa Verdugo Pottery. Large, low console bowl with ceramic, footed, flower frog insert. The Casa Verdugo Pottery Company of Montrose, California was only operating during the 1940's and primarily made giftware. This three footed, low bowl is in the Art Nouveau style and is kidney shaped. The separate flower frog insert has three feet & can be used together with the console bowl, or the centerpiece bowl makes a lovely display of floating gardenias. In good vintage condition: One small chip on the edge & the green color goes into it as shown in photos. Also some rust colored discoloration on the inside where I imagine they had metal flower frogs. Light crazing throughout. Please see all photos close up as part of the description. Large Console Bowl measures 14" in length, 6" at widest point and 3 1/2" at smallest curve. Ceramic Flower Frog insert measures 9" in length, 4" at widest point and 2" at smallest curve. The Flower Frog insert follows the shape of the bowl and fits nicely. Bowl can be used with or without the flower frog insert. Stunning console or centerpiece bowl for your table! Also great example of California Art Pottery for your collection :)
