Description: CASE XX USA 1980’s “lightning S” four-blade congress knife.Pattern # 64052, 3-1/2” closed. Brass liners.This is a scarce “transition” knife.The large sheepfoot blade has the 10-dot 1980 stamp, the large spear blade has the 9-dot 1981 stamp.The knife was assembled in 1981 using one leftover 1980 blade.Strong snap with half stops on all blades.Each blade is tight no wobble.Nice “Appaloosa” bone handles, great coloring, no cracks or chips.A mint knife - never carried, used, or sharpened. The blades each have the factory finish and factory edge.The backsprings have light tarnish - see photos.There is no original box, as when these knives were made, Case boxed knives in bulk, not individually.The knife will be shipped wrapped in a new Case anti-tarnish wrapper and in a recent Case box.The handles on this knife were crafted from South American Zebu cattle shin bone. Genus/Species - Bos indicus or Bos taurus indicus.
