Description: This cast iron bank is approx. 3"x 2.5" and stands 4" tall. The slot is in the back panel for putting coins in. Don't know exactly how old this item is. I'm going by the Patended date on the bottom which says Aug. 24, 1897. I believe this model was made by the J & E Stevens Co. This is a combination safe and it still works, although I'm not sure what the combination is. I will mail this with the door open and maybe you can figure it out. The bottom has a rod coming through and if you turn it it will release the pressure and all the panels will fall apart, see photo 9. So even if the door is locked you can still open the bank. Bank has some wear but no cracks or chips. Item is VG shape. Please check all photos to verify condition.
