Description: Cat Stevens - Tea For The Tillerman Vinyl Record in NM Condition. This record was issued by Analogue Productions in 2011 and is the very first title to be pressed at Quality Record Pressings (QRP) . This is considered by most to be Cat Stevens greatest record and Chad Kassem of Analogue Productions and QRP, after a lot of leg and detective work, the pristine original analog master tape was found and used by George Marino, who cut lacquers at Sterling Sound, the mastering house where it was originally cut by Sterling Sound founder Lee Hulko, for both the U.S. and UK first editions. Hulko’s original mastering notes were on file at Sterling and used as a reference by Marino. The goal was to get something quite a bit better than what was originally issued and most critics agree this may be the best version of this album ever issued and will just become more collectible as time goes on. This record is pressed on 200 Gram vinyl and at 33 RPM, I believe there were only 1500 copies made. Collectors will appreciate the high quality of the album jacket, featuring heavy stock with a thick semi-gloss coating. Kassem was determined to reproduce as closely as possible the original gatefold packaging so he decided to do a facsimile of the original British Island gatefold jacket rater than the non-gatefold U.S. Version. This British jacket also has a textured paper stock on the inside and is glossy on the outside. Additionally, he's using the original Pink Island label. A Four page foldout includes photos of the "Absolute" original master tapes and a few good quotes from George Marino at Sterling Sound.
