CB/Export radio AM Pwr Regulator Kit/Replaces 2SB754, B817, B827/Maxmod

Description: This AM power regulator kit consists of the AM power regulator transistor and a matched driver transistor. These parts have been specifically matched to each other to enhance the performance of your radio especially when having mods installed. They are pin for pin compatible with the parts already installed from the factory. There are other regulators sold by others that are larger in physical size(2sa1302) that will work, but their physical size make them harder to install w/o modification. These parts in this kit are the same size physically, which leads to a hassle free installation. Simply remove the driver transistor and the regulator transistor and replace with the ones supplied in this kit.This kit is a must when modifying dual final radios. It also increases modulation and repairs most power related problems. The original transistor (2SB754 or 2SB817) installed at the factory is rated at 7 amps. Some radios contain the 2SB827 for the original power regulator also and this kit will replace it too.The transistor provided in this kit is rated at 25 amps. The driver replaces the 2SA1869 which is also in a TO-220 package.The components in this kit have been purchased from a reputable semiconductor manufacturing company and are not some cheap knock offs. All these components have been analyzed and tested/matched. Guaranteed to not be DOA. Numbers on transistors are from the testing process.The last 2 pictures show the component placement of the original regulator transistor and it's driver in a Galaxy DX88HL.Please note: When installing this kit you must reuse the ceramic insulator with adequate heatsink grease to ensure heat transfer to the chassis heatsink.
