The high quality blade is comprised of 100's of layers of pattern welded high carbon steel (1084) and mild steel (WS1). The alternating layers of hard and soft bestow more flexibility and toughness to the steel than a solid homogeneous blade , and act much like serrations on the edge to aid in cutting. The grip is of polished hardwood and it is embellished with inlaid bands of brass and steel and further accented at the bolster with brass studding. The dagger comes with a robust sheath of stitched leather with a belt loop and a retaining strap that is closed with a brass button. Overall Length: 14 inches.
