It consists of an upper pulley wheel with 13 teeth and a lower pulley wheel with 19 teeth (black or red), which are based on super smooth ceramic bearings. Additionally, a weight-saving carbon cage is used. Compared to the predecessor model, a stop bolt has been added to simplify the installation. Besides the 11-speed mechanical rear derailleurs mentioned above, this system is also compatible with the Dura Ace RD-R9150 and Ultegra RD-R8050-SS electronic rear derailleurs. Like all Oversized Pulley Wheel (OSPW) systems from CeramicSpeed, the Shimano version also provides less friction compared to standard pulley wheels and allows a significant reduction in power. There are also other advantages of the Coated version: The metallic coating of the bearing races improves the already strong performance even further, the durability also increases and the bearing has almost no wear.
