Description: This is a rare single-page advertising handbill (flyer) promoting the Original Broadway production of the MARK HOLLMANN and GREG KOTIS musical comedy "URINETOWN" at the newly refurbished Henry Miller's Theatre in New York City. (Originally scheduled to open on September 13th, 2001, the official opening was delayed until September 20th, 2011 due to the terrorist attacks of September 11th, 2001. The production would close January 18th, 2004 after 965 performances.) ..... The flyer announced the addition of CHARLES SHAUGHNESSY (who replaced JOHN CULLUM as "Caldwell B. Cladwell" on September 9th, 2003 and remained until the show closed on January 18th, 2004). The remaining cast included DAVID BEACH, JENNIFER CODY, RACHEL COLOFF, RICK CROM, JOHN DEYLE, VICTOR W. HAWKS, ERIN HILL, KEN JENNINGS, SPENCER KAYDEN, DANIEL MARCUS, JEFF McCARTHY, NANCY OPEL, PETER REARDON, DON RICHARD, LAWRENCE E. STREET, JENNIFER LAURA THOMPSON and KAY WALBYE ..... A spokesman for Urinetown said that if Broadway productions resumed on September 13th, so would Urinetown, but the official opening would be announced later, as critics had not yet been able to see the show.
