Description: This is a hard cover 2nd printing of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl that came out the same year as the first edition. There is some staining on the cover and a few pages and the name Petersen can still be seen in pencil inside the front flap. Binding is a bit weak but end pages still fully intact and connected. Please see pictures for condition and ask if you have any questions. Dust jacket is missing. The second printing is like the first edition in all of these respects—red cloth boards, gold endpapers, chocolate colored pages on the top edge, the title embossed on the cover and the Borzoi Books embossing on the back. The only difference is that the second printing only has the 5 lines instead of 6 lines on the last page colophon (the first printing also identifies the paper manufacturer). All in all, a great way to acquire an early printing without the price tag of the first printing. Enjoy!
