Description: Chinese Vintage Jiangxi Ming Ci Lao Shou Xing Porcelain Figure 13"H God of Longevity A finely modeled hand painted Chinese porcelain figure of the Chinese God of Longevity, Shouxing, Republic Period, early 20th century, China. The God of Longevity, called Shouxing or Shoulao, stands upright holding a dragon staff in one hand, a peach (a symbol of immortality), in the other. He is dressed in a long yellow robe painted with peaches and "shou" (longevity) medallions. His face expressive and mirthful, with a long, white beard, and high, domed head. An impressed studio mark to the base. The top of his staff is missing. See pictures for details.
