Description: Offered is a lovely vintage, hand woven duck shaped wicker /reed coved basket. The lid has a hand carved duck's head, eyes, bill, and feathers. Some of the feathers are colored green; eyes are yellow, and wing feathers are orange.. The feathers on the duck's back wings and tail are from a thin bamboo type wood. This piece is in very good to excellent vintage condition. There is one area on the side of the duck’s head where the green colored wicker has pulled away-see PHOTO. Otherwise, no other issues found. There is a paper label inside the lid reading: Shanghai Handicrafts; a number which has worn away and Made in The People's Republic of China.
