Description: This is an original GE refrigerator electric clock. Only produced for 4 years, (1928 thru 1931) only 21,460 of these clocks where ever made. These clocks were never sold to the public but rather they were given away free with the purchase of GE Monitor Top Refrigerator. Casted in metal clock case this is the rarest chrome plated model and is 8 3/4" tall, 5" wide, and 3" deep, dial is 3" diameter. Originally these were electric clocks and considering the age most motors have simply worn out. Clocks were made for GE between 1920 and 1931 and were replicas of their refrigerators. This clock is now fitted with a brand new quartz movement, keeps accurate time and can be displayed anywhere, no dangling cord requiring an electrical outlet. This clock is an earlier model with 16 fins on its condenser with the clock movement Telechron partly owned by GE. United States, 1931 Sold as a none working display piece with the original cord being removed. SKU: 2009880ms
