Description: ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1960s steward half wing in bullion for Pakistan International Airlines, which started flying in 1947 under the name of Orient Airways but came into its own as a state-owned airline in 1955. The wing shows a blue globe with some bullion continents. VINTAGE: Circa 1960s. SIZE: Approximately 1-1/2" x 2-1/2" MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Cotton embroidered in bullion and silk/cotton threads with velvet, muslin backing. ATTACHMENT: None. MARKINGS: None. ITEM NOTES: This is from a foreign airlines collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. REX96 LHEX5/11 CONDITION: 7- (Very Fine-): The wing shows some moderate wear, mostly along its edge, and has a medium tarnish.
