Returns no problem. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THIS LISTING: "I Marched with Sherman: Civil War Memoirs of the 20th Illinois Infantry" The author was to become an officer in this unit. He was in company H. The 20th Illinois Infantry spent a lot of them with the 17th Corps in the Western Theater of the war. They saw action at Vicksburg, and in the Atlanta Campaign. The soldier re-enlisted and received a furlough home. The furlough ended and soon the 20th Illinois was ready for the 1864 Sherman's March Campaign. During the July 20th, 1864 Battle of Atlanta the soldier was shot in the shoulder. This ended his military career.
