The bowie’s overall length is 12 inches. The drop point full tang blade is 7.0 inches long and the blade width is a generous 2.12 inches. The single edge blade has an eye-appealing black & silver finish. The 3-inch top bevel on the blade spine (the swedge) is not sharpened but you can sharpen it if you want. The 5-inch brown wood handle feels comfortable in large hands and has a nice balance. The handle scales are set with 6-brass pillar pins (3 on each side). The steel guard has the s-curved shape popular in Civil War bowies. The knife weighs a solid 17.9 oz (508 grams) or just over 1 pound. The knife comes with a perfectly fitted tan leather sheath. Also comes with an added gold-tint lanyard with an unusual braided-ring extension. The NKCA Condition Grade is new.
