Description: Codex CDX-75002 for Arri Alexa XR / XT (Picture of actual item for sale - not stock photo - more pictures at bottom) This is the Codex CDX-75002 dual drive reader (dock) mini-SAS media reader for the Arri Alexa XT and Arri Alexa Plus 4:3 w/ XR module upgrade, allowing reading of CDX-3730 XR capture drive media. Has two drive slots (dual). The standard license for the software allows you copy Digital Camera Negative files (ARRIRAW, CanonRAW, DPX, or ProRes, depending on what format was recorded). This is similar to the Codex CDX-7500. This connects via SAS. To use on your computer, you would need something like the Atto ExpressSAS H680 card - a PCIe 2.0 Host Bus Adapter that would install into your Mac Pro desktop (or expansion chassis for MacBook Pro). Also works with the Atto H6F0 card. You could also utilize something like the Atto Thunderlink TLSH-1068-D00 or TLSH-2068-D00. This allows you to then connect to your Mac via Thunderbolt cable (Thunderbolt 2 native or Thunderbolt 3 with adapter). The Thunderlink SH1068 and SH2068 only have drivers compatible to MacOS 10.15 Catalina. Not reccomended for MacOS 11 Big Sur and beyond. This includes the Codex CDX-75002, power supply, and SAS cable only. Buyer to provide readily available USB-A type cable. This is SAS output, so buyer will also need to supply something like Atto ExpressSAS H680 card, Atto Thunderlink TLSH-1068-D00 / TLSH-2068-D00, or something else to adapt SAS to your Mac computer. Drivers/software for everything is available online or provided as needed. Cosmetically has noticeable scratches and paint wear on case, plus patch on side where sticker was removed. These have notoriously fragile paint and this is normal to show wear easily. But there is no damage or signs of abuse. Everything is fully tested using CDX-3730 XR drives (not included) and a Macbook Pro to ensure it is in excellent working order.
