Silk ribbon measuring 7" x 2.5". Condition: Very good. Browned at top, one bottom corner folded over (all visible in photo) otherwise clean. Around 1835 the Presbyterian minister Reverend Thomas P Hunt originated the Cold Water Army dedicated to educating children about the dangers of alcohol and recommending total abstinence. The vignettes appear to be by R. Andrews and depict uniformed soldiers marching around a fountain and a woman and children drawing water from a well.
