Description: Colin RuffellBorn in 1939, Colin Ruffell became a professional artist at the age of 26. He qualified from two Art Colleges in painting, design and printmaking, and the Open University in psychology and aesthetics. In the early sixties, Colin was one of the first British art students to use the then-revolutionary medium of artist’s acrylic paint, and he has advocated its use ever since. In the nineties, he spotted the potential of giclée printmaking and using the internet as an exhibition space. The Fine Art Trade Guild elected him firstly as a Court Member and then as Chair of The Guild’s Printers and Publishers Committee. He paints in many styles, from childlike and amusing images to traditional landscapes. Some are complex abstracts exploring the relationship of colour, texture and shape. He has exhibited extensively, and his paintings can be found in private and corporate collections throughout the world.We have 30 different options of prints of Colin's work, ranging from 30 x 30cm to 85 x 120cm in sizeAbout our canvas prints. All these products are printed using the latest digital technology with latex inks on 260gsm premium satin canvas before being stretched over solid wooden frames. We use a gallery wrap so the image continues around the side of the frame.Our canvas prints are available in two depths. The standard range is 38mm in depth, but we also can offer some of our canvases on a lighter 18mm deep frame. Please ask for a price if this is of interest. Canvas prints are supplied shrink-wrapped with protective corners. Delivery.
