Description: This vintage Colonial pocket knife is a must-have for collectors and enthusiasts alike. Crafted in the United States (Providence Rhode Island) this 2-blade peanut folding knife features a clip point and pen blade made of high-quality carbon steel. The handle is made of metal and plastic adhered scales in a classic ivory color, giving it a timeless appeal. The blades on this knife are in amazing shape for its age!! They do have some residual spots from where corrosion had started. It's been cleaned & polished for immediate use -- however, the joints are pretty stiff & mildly gritty -- there's little snap but they stay secure. (They have not been oiled yet, so could improve & resume snap.) The faux pearl advertising scales are old, one side is gone the other has been re-adhered. (In the images you can see the plastic raised in the middle.) The advertisement is for R.E.M.C. an electric cooperative out of Bloomfield Indiana.
