REVOLUTIONARY WAR-DATED AUTOGRAPH DOCUMENT SIGNED WITH THE CHAPLAIN OF THE CONTINENTAL CONGRESS GIVING PERMISSION TO THE PRIVATE SECRETARY OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE CONTINENTAL CONGRESS TO CHECKOUT A BOOK Before the present document was created and during the American Revolution, Fosset served as Thomas Jefferson’s carpenter, White was a trustee to the University of Pennsylvania and rector of Christ and St. Peter’s Churches in Philadelphia, and Harrison served in the 5th Battalion of the Pennsylvania militia. The document is one page with a docket on the verso, created on July 11, 1781, measures 7” by 4.5”, and in fine condition having been attached to a larger slip of paper.
