Description: “Melodies From The Farm” represents a creative formula of both musicianship and production. The entire album was written and tracked using unique formulas for microphone placements, mixing and performing. We desire to create music using authentic takes, working overtime rather than utilizing drum replacement sounds and auto-tune vocals. We both had a clear and concise approach to exactly how we wanted this original material portrayed to listeners. The music was created very organically with no pressure of pop structures and overproduced sound. The album has 12 tracks total and consists of 47 minutes of audio. Arizona-based CooBee Coo entered the national conscience with their compellingly-quirky video “Never Gonna Leave Your Side.” The band took top honors on MTV U’s hugely popular “The Freshman” with “Never Gonna Leave Your Side” catapulting into full rotation across the network. What followed was featured placements in hit shows such as NCIS, Flaked, Chicago Fire, Sneaky Pete, 1 Mile To You, Hap & Leonard, Sirens and Lucifer to name just a few. Formed by songwriting/production partners KC Barras and Jesse Morrison, their 7 piece live show is a force to be reckoned with… routinely landing the band top slots at festivals including The McDowell Mountain Music Festival. Not yet finished with their journey and musical goals in their mid-twenties, the duo continued to record and experiment with new sounds and unique ways to capture original tones in their vintage style farmhouse studio. The two would switch recording rolls in-studio to record each other's tracks and simultaneously engineering sections of each track with big drum sounds and unique guitar tones by Barras. A 100 year old family owned upright piano along with some vintage organs produced a unique sound for Morrison's key parts. CooBee Coo's sound would truly take form when meticulous vocal parts of multiple harmonies were layered into each original piece by Barras & Morrison. Recorded in Gilbert, Arizona
