This two-tone green and off-white round cookie jar features a vitreous glaze with a whimsical painted clock "face" that has raised hands, dial, and the words "Cookie Time. “The clock "face" has black painted eyes, eyebrows, and nose, and a red mouth. The Abingdon "Cookie Time" cookie jar has a happy clock face in teal blue and cream that reminds us, in raised letters, that 3:45 is cookie time! The painted features are entirely intact, with no loss of paint. The jar and lid have original glaze, and are in tact and in beautiful condition. There’s a dimple from manufacturing next to the lid knob are no cracks or hairline cracks. Everything is in its original factory condition. The right side, bottom area, has some crazing, see photo. Factory workmanship as is. This is one of the most iconic of all cookie jars, the "Cookie Time Clock" has a fabulous fun design and is a worthy addition to any collection of vintage cookie jars, and will display beautifully in your retro kitchen or dining area.
