The neck feels thick but is easy to play. (Personally, I found it easier to play than a used Navigator. It could be that the Navigator was not in good condition.) The sound is bright in the high range with a well-balanced tone. Due to the easy high range, the bridge mute tends to be crisp, more so than my Gibson. However, it doesn't produce the rough sound characteristic of Gibson, so I would recommend Gibson for those seeking that.
