Advertisement end papers, faint blue stamp of E. S. Denison of the Central Pacific Railraod to ffep, 272 (1) clean pp., tight. Many illustrations & maps in the text plus 18 folding plates on blue paper. The rear advert end papers have what appears to be paste stains. Very good. Hardcover. Volume 2, but complete for the years 1879-80, an updated volume from the first one. The author's elaborate title page is an accurate statement of the contents. Vivid descriptions of scenes and towns, instructions for travel, railroad time-tables, engravings of spectacular scenery, &c.
