Description: Currier and Ives, Great West, Outstanding Old Repro in Great Cond, Nice Frame While this art work is not a true Currier and Ives original (as far as I presume), it is far better than any reproduction I have seen. I believe it to be an older reproduction, which looks close to an original. This work is from the small folio series of the West, entitled The Great West. The total dimensions, including the frame is 17¾ x 13¾ x almost 1 inch. The measurement of the work itself, including the title is 15½ x 11½ inches. The color part measures 14 x almost 9 inches. The condition is excellent. The hand-colored colors are vibrant, with possible slight fading, especially in upper half. The text is clear. No tears or stains. The glass is fine. The back has protective paper that is old and has frayed as the photo shows. The frame is a very attractive wood in great condition. The wire on the back is secured by eye hooks and is good for hanging. I am not a dealer. I have owned this work for many years. Please message me with any questions or need for more photos.
