Description: *My models all wear their own coats* These coats are designed to fit a miniature dachshunds's unique shape but they fit other breeds (Jack Russell & other terriers, large Chihuahuas, Bichons, Maltese) as well. I began making dog coats because I could not find anything ready-made to fit my own dachshunds. Although initially my coats were designed for a dachshunds's unique shape I eventually began crafting them for other breeds as well. This is my eighth year offering them on eBay. These coats pop over the head like a turtleneck and secure with hook & loop tape under the chest. The collar is roomy enough to slip a leash in and attach it, or just put a harness over the fleece ~ they are meant to fit snugly. Due to the 2-way stretch in the fabric they will adjust to each dog's individual shape. This coat measures 14" along the back from collar to base of tail; it will fit a dog with a chest circumference of 15-17". Please measure your pup carefully. Machine wash warm or cold like any polar fleece item; be sure to secure the hook & loop before laundering. They dry quickly laid flat or can be tossed in a medium dryer for 10-15 minutes Coats for dogs with 10,12, and 15-16" backs are listed separately. I do make coats for standard (or chunkier) dachshunds and other breeds. Please contact me via eBay for pricing if your dog is larger than measurements above.
