Whitcher (Western Australia) - Mar 1978. Collected live - May 1974 This is a beautiful, great choice specimen has been in our family collection for nearly 50 years. This specimen has a beautiful darker pinkish/beige color, pattern, luster and shape. This is part of our late father's large collection of seashells he obtained while stationed on Okinawa, Japan in 1974-1978. His interests in shells grew from more than the Indo-Pacific species when he engaged in trading his shells with some of theprominent collectors around the world. He was an avid scuba diver and seashell collector. The results of many deepdives led to the creation of a collection of some of the best shells Okinawa had to offer. Ted's shells have been cared for and stored for the past 50 years. All are in excellent condition. My sister and I are listingshells after researching them for value, quality and uniqueness. We are not conchologists and are giving our opinion onthe condition and quality of the shell when compared to other listings. My sister and I have two ebay accounts to list my father's shells. If you don't see anything of interest in my listing, please look at the shells my sister hasposted (username: rayd8ter).
