This is the first edition of Czesław Niemen's albums in Poland in SACD (Super Audio Compact Disc) format.For the first time in Poland, classic Polish pop music is released on SACD. The series contains the most important albums from the Polskie Nagrania catalog, which have been newly remastered and released with unprecedented care in the SACD format. The choice of this format is a nod to audiophiles. Due to the availability of the Polskie Nagrania archives in the form of analog master tapes, the reissue of the most important albums in the SACD format is a natural choice that allows the albums to come as close as possible to the analog original, bringing them to a level never seen before on the Polish music market. To ensure full compatibility with standard CD players, this SACD series has been designed as a hybrid and includes an additional data layer in the CD Audio format, read by all CD players. The sampling frequency of the DSD data stream used on SACD discs is 64 times higher than on an audio CD and is 2.824MHz."Idee Fixe" is Czesław Niemen's magnum opus, a kaleidoscope of genres and styles. A large, multi-threaded and eclectic publishing house. The artist polished this ambitious work for almost two years. The album premiered in 1978 and is the first three-disc rock album released in Poland (2 LPs and an EP). The title "Idée Fixe" perfectly reflects the level of Niemen's involvement in the implementation of this project; in fact, he did nothing else during the entire period of work on this music. He felt the pressure associated with this music - he was always a perfectionist, taking care of every detail, but in this case he worked with the feeling that this was his life's work. "Idée fixe" is a concept album that expands the experimental trend in Czesław Niemen's work. In the material from two LPs, for the first time Niemen uses texts by only one poet - Norwid. In turn, the single included with the album recorded fragments of music from Juliusz Słowacki's play "Salomea's Silver Dream". After the solo "Katharsis", Niemen returned to cooperation with other musicians, and although his work is still dominated by electronics, it is accompanied by a lively rhythm section and Zbigniew Namysłowski is an outstanding guest.Tracklist:CD1/SACD1.
