Description: Daiwa 10 Saltiga 5000H #304 Description This is the 2010 model of Daiwa's flagship salt reel "Saltiga", a high-speed model with a gear ratio of 5.7 and a No. 5000 (the normal gear ratio is 4.4). It was purchased in 2014. I used it mainly for fishing where speed matters, such as bluefish casting and autumn jigging. Since it was like a sub-tackle, I only used it a few times a year. It has been overhauled by the manufacturer once, but all it took was cleaning and greasing. The reel is smooth and not rough to reel in. This model is known to have some plating lifting on the body surface, and this product also has some lifting, but it is only slight. I don't think the overall appearance is bad. There is no corrosion on the spool. Please check the images. I used it together with the standard gear 5000, but as I've gotten older it's becoming difficult to handle the large reel and high gear specifications, so unfortunately I'm letting it go. This is a long-awaited model change from the original Saltiga from 2000, and is a tough model with greatly improved performance, including the addition of a Mag Sealed, so I think it can still be used actively for saltwater lures targeting large bluefish.
