Dale stopped offering their handknit collection many years ago, when it became too hard to find hand knitters willing to devote the time it takes to produce such a sweater and on a commercial scale. The yarn is very soft and is incomparable to the machine knit counterparts. Since this line of sweaters was handknit, the sizing is not standard and I found certain patterns to be for a person with a slimmer build and shorter arms. Please pay close attention to the measurements provided. The measurements with the sweater lying flat are Collar to bottom hem: 26.5 in.; Width, side to side: 22.5 in.; and Sleeve from seam to cuff: 19 in. Please Note that the sweater in the last three pictures is not included in this listing - the photos are provided only for the purpose of illustrating how the measurements were taken. Note on Sizing: Actual sizing can vary between sweater style, construction method (hand vs machine knit), manufacturer or post laundering. To ensure a proper fit, I have provided three actual measurements: Length: from collar seam to bottom of sweater, Width: from side to side with the sweater lying flat and Sleeve: from the seam where the sleeve meets the body of the sweater, along the top of the sleeve to the cuff. Please compare these measurements to those of a comfortably fitting sweater using the same measurement points to ensure it will fit for whom it is intended.
