Description: For sale is an Antique dated 1874 working book press for book binding. Dimensions are 15" x 10" x 11" and it weighs about 42 lbs. This makes it a little smaller as old book presses go which makes it possible to ship. It also makes an excellent display piece as it is not overly cumbersome. The bottom plate is attached to wood and someone has put textile material on the bottom so that it slides easily on wood without scratching it. The crank and pressing plate seem to be in great working order as they turn and move smoothly. What a bonus that it is even dated on the top plate and the top handle!
