DAVID SCHLUSS ORIGINAL "HARP SOUNDS" - VERY RARE IMPORTANT PIECE

Description: Harp Sounds By David Schluss This is a very rare and important piece by David Schluss titled "Harp Sounds". The painting is large in size, the frame measures 36 x 36 inches. It is done on canvas and is an original piece signed by the artist himself. The painting features a beautiful harp theme and is done in a cubist style. However, when I saw this piece I had to have it.This is a member of Davis Schluss's well known Harp series. Many members of this series are widely loved and widely reproduced. Besides being beautiful and in the important Harp series, there is something else about "Harp Sounds" - as far as I can tell, this is the only one. It is labeled "1/1" from Wentworth Galleries and in years of searching I have never seen another one, any sort of reproduction, or even a mention of it. (If anyone discovers differently, please let me know. However, I've searched extensively and I've never seen it even mentioned) If you aren't familiar with David Schluss, here is some basic background. Unfortunately, EBay doesn't seem to allow links anymore. For further research google his gallery in Florida and Wentworth Galleries. Influence from great masters such as Chagall, Miro, and Botero inspired Schluss to create his own individualized style and technique of painting. He began experimenting by painting with his hands, using no paint-brush or spatula. He says, 'With the palm of my hands I can get a play of light that I could never achieve with a brush. I start with the abstract, and figures emerge.'Today, Schluss paints only using his hands. Using his fingers as paint brushes, he sculpts out images, textures and colors directly onto the canvas.
