Catalog Number: RS-6250 CONDITION DETAILSVinyl plays with occasional light-crackles (play-graded). Cover looks good; moderate scuffing, a few creases, some surface abrasion and discoloration with darker spots (front/back); name written on back near center and initials near bottom right. Inner-sleeve is original (generic brown); one seam partially split. Spine is somewhat readable with developing splits. Minor shelf-wear along bottom-edge, more noticeable wear along top edge and corners. Opening is crisp with signs of light use and a few divots. Stereo pressing. (Not a cut-out.) ABOUT THE RECORDWelcome to My World, by Dean Martin, was quickly assembled as an album and named after a 1965 recording of Welcome to My World that had appeared previously on Remember Me I'm the One Who Loves You. Producer Jimmy Bowen commissioned Martin versions of a couple of old country hits that had recently been made into pop hits. The album was released after the unexpected success of the singles In the Chapel in the Moonlight and Little Ole Wine Drinker Me. This was the second album that Martin released in 1967. Welcome to My World peaked at No. 20 on the Billboard 200. In the Chapel in the Moonlight topped the Adult Contemporary Chart, and peaked at No. 25 on the Billboard Hot 100, while Little Ole Wine Drinker Me peaked at No. 5 on the Adult Contemporary Chart and No. 38 on the Billboard Hot 100.Portions of our "About the Record" section are taken from information gathered from Wikipedia and AllMusic.
