If you drive your Jeep Wrangler 4xe in cold winters, then you probably know of the "Fuel & Oil Refresh Mode" (FORM). In order to clear the FORM and return to normal operation, many conditions need to be met. One of those condition is for the engine oil to get to a high enough temperature (90 Celsius/194 Fahrenheit). This condition is very difficult to achieve during the cold winter months. The DeFORM grill covers blocks 90% of the cold air from entering the engine compartment during the winter in order to help the engine get warm enough and clear the FORM. The DeFORM grill covers are made with Flame Retardant ABS plastic that conforms to the UL-94 standard, commonly used in the automotive industry. The DeFORM grill covers can easily be installed or removed in seconds, without the use of any tools. They are also safe to use in contactless car washes. This kit is COMPLETE and includes both the Lower and Upper covers (14 individual covers in total) and includes the upper middle cover (not shown in pictures, where the front facing camera is located). Use for cold weather operation. The covers are not recommended for ambiant outside air temperature above 40F (4C). Remove immediately if engine shows signs of overheating.
