You can teach yourself the basics in an afternoon. Portable and easy to store: Every single part of the sail kit folds or breaks down into less than 4-foot length and the whole sail kit can fit in the included 4-foot bag, simlar to a golf travel bag. What's included: Includes everything you need to sail except a canoe, wind, lifejacket and water. Also included are assembly instructions and how-to-sail instructions. Why 2 steering oars? You only use one at a time for steering, but it's nice to have them on both sides so you can easily change which hand is doing the steering. And if you get into a tight spot, you can push-row using the two oars at once -- not efficient, but very handy for moving short distances, say out of a cove that has no wind or up to a dock after you have dropped the sail. Things that are included that basic kit does not have: Sail kit bag, second steering oar, substitution of larger 55 SF sail and taller/stronger mast, 2nd steering oar and oarpin, and wooden high seat Choose any of the sail color schemes pictured.
